Taxi Driver - ZZP or Employed

What will you do?

In this role you drive passengers through Amsterdam and the surrounding area in a fully electric car, for an international taxi service coming to the Netherlands. The company already runs thousands of cars across several countries in Asia and Europe. Trips come to you through the app: from short city rides to runs to Schiphol. No refuelling, no noise, no smell — and a car that's completely new.

As a taxi driver, your tasks are:

• Transporting passengers safely and smoothly through Amsterdam and the surrounding area;

• Accepting and completing trips through the app, from short city rides to airport runs;

• Keeping your vehicle clean and presentable for every shift;

• Making sure your car is charged in time before you head out;

• Keeping your customer rating up — your performance bonus depends on it.

You decide for yourself which model you drive. On an employment contract you work 24, 32 or 40 hours a week on a schedule agreed with you. As a self-employed driver you set your own hours and shifts, with no minimum number of shifts.

What do we offer?

As a taxi driver in Amsterdam, here's what you can expect from us:

On an employment contract:

• A 24, 32 or 40-hour role, based on your own wishes and needs;

• Plenty of freedom to set your own hours and schedule; you work when you want to;

• A gross monthly salary between €3,363 and €3,228 based on a 40-hour working week;

• A starting bonus of €600, spread over 3 months;

• A performance bonus of up to 20% per trip, based on acceptance rate, trip completion, customer rating and service quality;

• 8% holiday pay;

• 23 holiday days;

• 6 national public holidays a year;

• Pension accrual through Pensioenfonds Vervoer;

• A 20% supplement on overtime above 40 hours a week, paid out in money.

As a self-employed taxi driver:

• Around €3,400 net per month at 4,000 kilometres, rising towards €4,900 net with more kilometres;

• A €200 starting bonus per month during your first three months;

• A €200 branding bonus every month;

• A kilometre bonus from 2,500 kilometres (€0.25 per kilometre), rising again from 3,500 kilometres (€0.50 per kilometre);

• 85% of the turnover during peak hours;

  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 09:00 and 16:00 - 19:00

  • Friday night: 23:00 - 24:00

  • Saturday: 00:00 - 05:00

  • Sunday: 00:00 - 06:00

• 75% of the turnover off-peak;

• Setting your own hours and shifts, with no minimum number of shifts.

In both models:

• A brand-new, fully electric car with a kilometre package included;

• Paid training before your first trip;

What do we expect from you?

As a taxi driver, we hope you bring the following:

• You hold a valid taxi driver card (chauffeurskaart);

• You have a category B driving licence; nothing more than a category B licence is needed;

• You are at least 21 years old and have roughly 3 months of experience as a taxi driver;

• You are legally entitled to work in the Netherlands; if you choose self-employed, you also have a valid KvK registration;

• You live in or around Amsterdam — think Zaandam, Hoofddorp, Purmerend, Haarlem or Almere — and speak sufficient English, Dutch is a plus.
